ADDITIONAL ACCEPTOR

Under Rule 289 of the Rules.of Trotting, Happy Man, off 36yds, has been admitted as an acceptor in the King George Handicap. This rule provides that where an acceptance is sent byyletter and is 6ho\vn to have been posted at least 60 hours before the closing time, and is not received until after such closing time, the committee cr steward may admit the acceptance on sufficient proof' that the letter should _ have been received in time under normal circumstances.
