JUDGES APPOINTED A meeting of'the committee of the Dunedin'Competitions Society was held on Thursday night.: Mr W. R. Sinclair presiding; ' The '.'follbwinjT, judges Were appointed for the festival to be held from;August,26 to September. 4: —Elocution, Mr W. «l. Mountjoy- (Wellington); instrument taL and assistant vocal,judge, Dr V. Griffiths {Christehureh);; vocal; Mr H. Temple White (Wellington)'; .dancing, Miss Betty (.'arnahan" (Christchiirch). It waV decided t0..-.make a number of alterations in the schedule, most of these in the children's sections. The. Secretary reported that he,had. received the elocution selections, and these were referred to a sub-coriimittee. Mr Eliiffe' reported that, there were one'or'two music selections '. that had not so far arrived, and the matter was left in Mr Elliffe's hands. A rote of thanks was accorded Mr, Klliffe for obtaining" the music for the festival. ~
