TRINITY CHURCH
REV. W. G. SLADE INDUCTED The Rev. W. G. Slade, MA the new minister for Trinity .Methodist Church, who has ■ arrived from -the north to take over his charge, is the son of the Rev. William Slade, who was we'.l known in Dunechn for over ci"ht years' as the superintendent of the Melhodist Central Mission and during whose -term here the erection of the Octagon Hall as the home of the mission took place. The llev. W. G. Slade comes from Puktkohe. in .the Auckland district, where he has been stationed for several years. As well as being in the charge •of Trinity Church. Mr Slade is secretary of the Methodist Conference of New Zealand, and was recently appointed, chairman of the Otago and Southland district. He hopes to renew many friendships, formed when formerly living in Dunedin. The induction service was lie.d lastnight in Trinity Church, this being conducted bv the Rev. T. A. Pybus. The address to the congregation was given bv the Rev. H. E. Harkness, of Mornington. Other speakers, representing vario-ns sections of the church, also spoke "Mr Slade will commence his ministry on Sunday.
