MR EDEN S GREETINGS (British Official Wireless.l (Rec. 10.15 a.m.) BUG BY, Dec. 30. Mr Anthony Kden sent messages to tiie Soviet Premier ami foreign Minister on completion of his mission to Moscow. The messages were dated Christmas Day. That to M. Stalin reads: “ Before returning home I would like to express to your Excellency my great pleasure at having again been able to visit the Soviet Union and discuss with yourself the many problems both of war and peace which our two countries must confront together as allies, J feel sure that conversations of so far-reaching a character will greatly strengthen our common war effort, and so bring nearer the day of our final victory. 1 shall always most gratefully recall the welcome you extended to me and my colleagues. With all good wishes to you ami the peoples of the Soviet Union for 1942.” To M. Molotov Mr Eden wrote: “ On leaving Soviet soil I send your Excellency iuy warmest thanks for the cordial" welcome and ,sumptuous hospitality which 1 have received from the Soviet, Government during my stay. L cannot express too greatly my gratitude for your kindness. I am confident that tinvisit ami the conversations we have had will greatly strengthen Anglo-Soviet collaboration. With sincere greetings ami warmest good wishes.”
