EMERGENCY SHELTERS
NECESSITY STRESSED BY MAYOR TECHNICAL DATA TO HAND The necessity for each householder and each commercial organisation to make emergency shelter or equivalent reasonable provision for occupiers of dwellings and staffs is again stressed by the mayor (Mr A. H. Allen), as chairman of the central executive of the E.P.S. The Mayor said that it' is necessary that this matter should receive immediate attention. Technical data and diagrams of various types of shelter have now been received from the National Service Department. This information has been issued to the Institute of Architects and the Builders’ Association, who are co-operating with the E.P.S. authorities.
The public, and particularly commercial organisations, are urged to consult their architect or builder as to suitable provision to be made by them.
