MOTOR CYCLE TRIALS
, SKILFUL, SLOW RIDING The motor cycle section of the Automobile Association (Otago) held a slow hill climb jii Saturday. This was an excellent test of machine control at low speeds and of the pulling power of the engines when running slowly. It was also a severe test of clutches, the odour of burning cork being much in evidence. Although the weather was unfavourable, some very keen competition was witnessed and an enjoyable day was experienced. ■ Following were Ihe results; —E. Smither 1, N. Dennison 2, W. Morris and M. Sparrow 3. i The results of a short fast hill climb were 'l, Wright (15sec) 1. E. Faithfull (15 l-sscc) 2, N. Dennison (15 4-ssec) 3. The next event run by the club will be a miniature T.T. on September 27.
