SCOTTISH SOCIETY
Tbe monthly social and danco of the Scottish Society of Dunedin was held on Saturday in the Victoria Hall, a large number of members and friends being present. The executive was piped to the platform by the official piper (Master Airdrie Stewart). The president (Mr Uric M’Kenzie) occupied the chair, assisted by Mr James Moody, and extended a welcome to members and friends. Mr James Caldwell also welcomed those present, and moved a vote of thanks to tbe artists who assisted in making the evening such a success. The Indies of (he dramatic section, under Air W. Brown, gave a playette entitled ‘Airs Watson’s Window.’ Items were given by the Misses Moody, tap dancing and song; Mr J. T. Ramsay, banjo-mandolin, and there were pipe selections by Master Airdrie Stewart, a sailor’s hornpipe by Miss Jessie Brown, scan triubhais by the Misses Joyce Leisliman and Moira Wilkinson. Supper was provided by the Ladies’ Social Committee, under Airs W. Brown, the hostesses being Mrs S. Hill and Airs James Caldwell. Dancing was enjoyed for the remainder of the evening, the AI.C.s being Air W. T. Smith and Air J. T, Ramsay.
