SAWYERS BAY SOLDIERS

Mrs Condon’s concert party from Ravensbourne provided the musical portion of a pleasant evening arranged by the Sawyers Bay Social and Reception Committee in honour of Lieutenant L. E. Pithie and Privates Ewan A. Agnew. Douglas L. Kennedy, and A. J. Watling. Bouquets were presented by Mrs C. Prattley to the mother, wife, or sister of each soldier, and Mr A. Mains, on behalf of the District Committee, handed each soldier a gift, which was .suitably acknowledged. Supper was dispensed by the ladies of the district. and a few hours of dancing concluded a successful function.
