ANNUAL MEETING The annual meeting of the Dunedin Photographic Society (Inc.) was held in the club rooms last night, Mr E. F. Lord presiding over a large attendance of members. In moving the adoption of the annual report and balance sheet, the President referred to the keen interest of members in the syllabus of lectures and demonstrations provided, and in particular the fiftieth anniversary celebrations and the instruction classes. There had been increasing numbers on leave of absence for war service, but there was also evidence of greater interest in the value of the hobby in the present time of stress. The following officers were duly elected ; Patron, Mr S. H. Raw-son; president, Mr J. G. Johnston; vice-presidents—Messrs G, Chance, G. Tovey, and the president of the Otago Art Society; immediate past president, Mr E. F. Lord; hon. secretary. Mr R. Kirk; hon. treasurer, Mr D. Y. Erwin; exhibition secretary, Mrs D. Y. Erwin; editor, Miss M. Valentine; council of members —Miss B. Bathara, Messrs Barrett, Ratcliff, and Rillstone; hon. judge, Mr G. Tovey; librarian, Mr G. S. Hendry; hon. auditor, Mr F. K. Cameron; hon. solicitor, Mr C. G. Wilson. The following were elected hon. life members: —Messrs Crosby Morris, F. B. Smith, and W. Williams. , , At the conclusion of the general business, Mr Johnston presented a silver plaque to Mr Lord in recognition of his to the club, and expressed regret at his impending departure from Dunedin. The remainder of the evening was devoted to a review bv Mr G. Chance. F R P.S., of the society’s annual exhibition. To Mr C. A.
