BLINDED SOLDIERS
CENTENNIAL REUNION

AUCKLAND, April 25. Blinded soldiers from all parts of New Zealand, their wives, and widows of blinded soldiers met in Auckland on Wednesday for the Centennial reunion of ; St. Dunstan’s New Zealand Blinded Soldiers’ Association, which will be concluded to-morrow. A mayoral reception was extended to members. ; A message from the GovernorGeneral (Viscount Galway), wishing the gathering success, was read at a luncheon. A cablegram was also read from Sir lan Fraser, chairman of St. Duustan’s, stating that New Zealand had set an example to the British Commonwealth in blind welfare, early and enlightened legislation, and progressive outlook.
There was a business meeting of the association on Wednesday afternoon. Members attended the dawn parade to-day and a church service in the morning. They spent the afternoon at Lady Mackenzie’s residence at Manurewa. and attended a smoke concert at the Remuera Returned Soldiers’ Social Club. A general meeting will be held to-morrow.
