The Otago Benevolent Concert Party gave a variety concert at Pleasant Valley Sanatorium last Saturday afternoon. The programme was opened with selections by the /party’s _ orchestra, after which the following items were contributed Vocal solos by Messrs G. Anderson, J. Ramsay, M. Sarginson, W. E. Scott, and Miss M. Bachop; humorous items, Messrs 6. Anderson and Harvey Wilson; piano solo. Mrs Stevenson; bagpipe selection, Mr K. Christiansen, musical items, Miss M. Middlemiss and Mr J. Ramsay; humorous recitation. Miss M. Bachop. Mrs Stevens and Mrs J. Sarginson acted as accompanists. At the close of the concert one of the patients thanked the organiser and performers for the afternoon’s entertainment.
