MIGRATION TO AUSTRALIA NEARLY 4,000 HOW THERE Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright CANBERRA, August 23. Nearly 4,000 European refugees have already entered Australia under a special plan formulated last year, under which 15,000 will be admitted within three years. German refugees, including Austrians, totalled 3,224, and Czechs 464. Italian migrants are also arriving in Australia at the rate of 50 a month.
