CZECH FRONTIER
REPORTS OF GERMAN MOVE NO CONFIRMATION IN BRITAIN (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright RUGBY, December 1. (Received December 2, at 1 p.m.) Mr Chamberlain told the House of Commons that he had seen statements I that Germany was in the process of mobilising three army corps, but the British Government had no confirmation of these reports. [The ‘ News Chronicle ’ published a ■ report from a reliable source that Germany was secretly mobilising _ three - army corps on the Czech frontier, as a reply, it was believed, to Poland and Hungary’s persistent agitation for the annexation of Ruthenia, giving them a common frontier, which Germany opposed. Six divisions were reported to be already completely mobilised, while the remaining three were in process. The Px-opaganda Ministry in Berlin completely denied the ‘ News Chronicle’s ’ mobilisation story, describing it as “ ridiculous.”]
