DANCING BREAK-UP

Bright lights, decorations, and a happy throng of dancers, made the scene at the Early Settlers’ Hall on Thursday evening last, a very gay one. The occasion was the break-up party of Miss Wallace’s studio of dancing adult class. Over 300 couples, representing past and present pupils, attended, and the function' was a success. Novelty items were given as interludes—tap dancing by Miss Winnie M‘Lean, and items by Miss Olga Paul, who is well known as an exponent of the piano-ac-cordion, being enthusiastically received. A special treat was given those present in a demonstration of modern ballroom dancing by Mr A. M'Cracken and Miss Jean Smith. There was never a dull moment and the happy party concluded at midnight with the singing of ‘ Auld Lang Syne.’-
