MANCHESTER UNITY
Thirty members of Loyal Middlemarch Lodge paid an official visit to Loyal Albion. N.G. Bro. Graveson presided and welcomed the guests. Representatives were also present from Loyal Princess Mary, Valley, Centenary, Caversham, Dunedin, and Hand and Heart Lodges. The toast to the guests of the evening was acknowledged by N.G. Sister E. Valentine and Per. Sec. Bro. Robertson. The Prov. G.M., Bro. Sellar and P.P.G.M. Bro. Stabb congratulated Loyal Middlemarch on its venture, and stressed the value of fraternal gatherings such as this. The annual reunion of Loyal Caversham Lodge was as successful as that of former occasions, representatives of 'all city lodges being in attendance. The lodge having been declared adjourned, N.G. Bro. S. Wright welcomed the guests. A programme comprising piano-accordion solos by Miss O. Paul and Mr A. Quinn, a piano duet by Mrs Peterson and Mr Phelan, a piano solo by Mr S. Bringans, a novelty mouth organ solo by Mr G. Silva, an instrumental duet by Messrs S. Henderson and R. Flintoff, a vocal duet by Messrs Finnic and M'Kinlay, vocal solos by Misses Barron and Moreland, and elocutionary items by Misses Billie Loan and Irene Livingstone was presented. The Prov. G.M. moved a vote of thanks to the entertainers.
