PILGRIMS TO ELGAR'S GRAVE
A pilgrimage to the grave of Sir Edward Elgar at Malvern Wells was made on August -9 by members of the Musicians’ Holiday Course, which is drawing to tho close of its nineteenth summer session, writes the Malvern correspondent of tho London ‘ Daily Telegraph.’ The commemoration began in the hall of the Abbey School with a performance of Elgar’s ‘ Serenade for Strings,’ conducted by Mr Ernest Read, of the Royal Academy of Music. Students and lecturers then walked to Eflgar’s grave in St. IVnil'stall’s churchyard, and after a short address by Mr Frank Bonner, a laurel wreath was laid on tho grave by Mr Read.
