WRESTLING
FRALEY V. MEEHAN Pat Meehan, who has established himself as one of the most popular wrestlers to visit Dunedin, will .be seen in action at the Town Hall next Monday night, when he will be matched with “ Singing Cowboy ” Pat Fraley in the latter’s local debut. Fraley’s displays in other parts of the Dominion have been so convincing that he has no sooner competed at one centre than there have been strong demands for him to be brought back again, Auckland having booked him for three successive matches, and Wellington for two. About 28 years old and trained to the minute, he carries over 16 stone on a frame just under 6ft in height, and everything he does is executed with speed and precision. His flying toehold is undoubtedly one of the features of his work, while his Hying tackles and other manoeuvres are on a high plane. Fraley was able to maintain an unbeaten record' during the early stages of his tour, but is meeting with increasingly tough opposition, not the least of which is represented by Meehan. The first time they met Meehan was more than holding his own and had a fall to the good when Fraley caught him with his “ back-breaker ” hold. Particulars are advertised.
