LOSS FOR YEAR REPORTED The Works Oomjjiittee of the City Council reports that the profit and loss statement in respect of the •working of the council’s three quarries discloses a loss of £1,279 5s 3d in the St. Clair and Woodhaugh quarries and a profit of £507 6s lOd in the (Roslyn quarry. The net loss for the year js, therefore, £771 18s sd, which amount was provided for in the works department allocation for last financial year.
