SUFFERING FROM STRAINED BACK NO PLAY IN GLOUCESTER MATCH BRISTOL, June 1. (Received June 2, at 11 a.in.) Owing to light rain following a downpour during the night, there was no play before lunch in the match Australia v. Gloucester. Rain continued after lunch and play was abandoned for the day. Apart from the injured Barnes, Bradman, Fingleton, and White are standing down from the Australian team. The twelfth man is Walker. Bradman’s strained back has not yet been diagnosed. He may be obliged to rest until the test. He has gone to London for treatment.
