THE SPOILSPORTS
An Englishman recently staying at % big New York hotel noticed that when his laundry was returned to him it came in a brown paper bag. A corner of the bag had been cut away. The reason he found was this: When the guests get hold of a paper _ bag they have two irresistible desires s either to blow it up and burst it in the ear of a frightened chambermaid, or to fill it with water and drop it out of the window on to the heads of people in the street below. To stop these little jokes the hotels make holes in the bags beforehand, so Americans will have to think of some more fun and games.
