ANDERSON’S BAY CEMETERY BUS SERVICE.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Some three weeks before Christmas it was decided at the council meeting to give this service a further three months’ trial, but we are now into Marchj almost three months later, and there is still no service. Thousands of people have been spending the day at Tomahawk Beach throughout' the holidays, and if the tramway department had any business foresight it would have had a bus. running to' .cater for these people. I suppose now the best of the season is nearly over the department may put a bus on, and if it does not pay immediately that will be the end of it. I really wonder why this service has not started when it was decided to give it a further trial. I should also like to pass comment on some of the old, buses used on this service of a Sunday sometimes. I suppose it is better policy to run the latest type of buses on excursions, etc., than to look after a regular service.—l am. etc,, Bus User, March 2.
