M GONACHY'S MATCH WITH LINDRUM NEW ZEALANDER RETURNS [Pes Ukrd Puts AMOCU.TIOir.] WELLINGTON, March 1. Clark M'Conachy returned to-day by the Awatea/ from Sydney. Although he finished 4,200 odd behind Lindrum, he said be had derived a good deal or saitsfaotion from playing him, and that his form towards the finish convinced him moro than ever .that in the hear future New Zealand would have a world title. The first time the opportunity offeree! he would contest the world title. In connection with the low table (mentioned in the cables)! M'Conachy indicated that he drew attention to it straight away, but there was no rule available to measure it, so he waived the matter, but he found that the longer he played the more at sea he became. He had the table raisd through his solicitor, and after it was raised Lindrum made a 1,100 break, one of the biggest in the match. He himself played a different game, though he was very much out of form. Mr A. Cohen, chairman of the Billiards Association Council, who also returned, said there was no doubt in his mind that tbe best man won, but M'Conachy was practically the second best player in the world. He had seen the billiards players of the world, and was convinced that the title would remain with Lindrum until be retired.
