OBITUARY

MR F. S. T. LITTLE The death occurred at Auckland last week of a former Dunedin resident in the person of Mr Frederick S. Townley Little. He was a son of the late Mr S. H. Little, of this city, and a brother of the late Dr C. T. LittleHe received his education at the Otago Boys’ High School and the Otago University, and was very kell known as a successful tutor, a large number of students passing through his hands. For a number of years he was supervisor for the University entrance examinations. His tastes were towards literature and the drama, and he took an active interest in amateur stage work at a time when there was no such vogue for theatrical production as obtains in the community to-day. As a resident of the northern centre he maintained his interest in Otago, and was a member of the Dickens and other societies.
