GAMING HOUSE CHARGE [P*n United Press Association.] PALMERSTON N„ February 28. Mr J. ‘L. Stout, S.M., this morning imposed a fine of £IOO on Uughie James Trask, a’labourer, for using premises in, Rangitauc street as a common gaining house. The police evidence showed that while they were on the premises several inquiries over the telephone relating to'betting were answered by detectives, who also seized a quantity of betting material; “Apparently; they were doing things in great style,. said Detective-sergeant Meikleiohn. Stanley Ernest Thompson, a greengrocer, charged with using the same premises as a common gaming house, was remanded until March 7.
