GOOD TEMPLARY
The weekly meeting of the Rescue Lodge, No. 105, International Order of Good Templars, was held on Tuesday evening in the Oddfellows’ Hall, King Edward street, when Bro. W. J. M'Curdy (Chief Templar) presided over a good attendance. Reports on the opening of the Star of the South Juvenile Temple were submitted by Bros. E. Brooks and T. H. Dalton. An interesting report on her recent visit to Milton was given by Sister Hazelwood, who also referred to a number of instances brought under her notice of the effects of liquor in this district. Special reference was made to the nomination of Sister Doris Miller as .Superintendent of Juvenile Work for the new term, a young sister who has accepted the responsibility of educating the young in the principles of Good Templary. An interesting programme was supplied by the following members: —Bro. T. H. Dalton (solo), Sister A. Smith, Sister Mrs M'Dqnald, and Sister D. Miller (recitations), Sister Mrs Hazelwood (short address), Bro. W J M'Curdy (solo), and Bro. W. lies (reading).
