LONDON, May 1Prince Constantin Cantacuzene, aged 27, of Rumania, flying a Caudron Renault, with a top speed of J 237 mile* an hour and a radius of 3,700 miles, departed from Hatfield in an attempt to break the England to Johannesburg and England to the Cape records. He plans only two stops, the first south of the Sahara and the next in Central Africa. He will sleep for brief periods, using an automatic pilot. MR BROOK RETURNING ARRIVAL AT JOHANNESBURG. Prince Cantacuzene made a forced landing at Algiers owing to mechanical trouble, but later continued.
