The final meeting "of the committee of the above society was held in the Coronation Hall, Portobello, on Saturday. 'ln the absence,of the president, the vice-president, Mr R. Kinnaird, presided over a full meeting of members. From reports received everything points to a most.successful show, both in entries and in attendance. Details in connection with the social and presentation ,of prizes were completed. • : < Mr Weir notified, that Mrs C. Miles had offered a' speciafdprize in sections 96, 97, and 101, class K (most points in three sections combined). It was resolved to gi-c Mr H. Hughes a month to month lease of the Show Ground until the matters pertaining to ground improvements are, completed. An offer from the Yotipg Farmers’ Club to give its support and assistance was accepted with thanks. The secretary was instructed to interview the Peninsula Motor /Service in regard to transport arrangements. The catering for the social- was left in the hands of Mr Kinnaird to arrange. The committee decided to meet at the Show Ground on Thursday, December 17, to arrange the ground, the . secretary to invite members of the Young Farmers’ Club to assist.
