SENTENCED TO DEATH POLICE RESCUE BOY. Press Association— By Telegraph—Copyright BERLIN, June 30. (Received July 1, at 11 a.m.) j Under retrospective application of the new law, Edward Bottrip was sentenced to death at Bonn for kidnapping a boy of 12. Demanding ransom; he sent a letter to the father that the boy was trussed up in a bath and that the money m.ust arrive before the bath filled. The police, however, rescued the boy. Bottrip was previously convicted of a similar offence.
