ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
INJURY PROVES FATAL. Mr Robert H. Fairbairn, aged 67, a married farmer of Racecourse road, Invercargill, died in the Southland Hospital as the result of injuries received in a collision between a bieycla he was riding and a motor car. BULLET WOUND IN FOOT. When the rifle he was carrying accidentally exploded, _ Leslie Williams, 17, vears of age, residing at 19 Prince Albert road, St Hilda, received a wound in the right foot on Saturday afternoon. He was shooting at Purakanui, and was admitted to hospital at 5 p.m, ELDERLY MAN’S FALL. When he slipped outside his home at 41 Harrow street yesterday morning,, Martin Trainor, aged 80, fractured his right leg. He was admitted to hospital at 5.45 p.m. FOOTBALLER FRACTURES LEG. A member of the Pirates senioe Rugby team, Herbert Martin (22), fractured his right leg in the match on Saturday against University A at Carisbrook. 'Martin, who resides at 6 Glenross street, was admitted to hospital at 9.15 p.m.
