OBITUARY
MR ERNEST T. LAWN [Per United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, May 31. The death occurred to-day. of Mr Ernest T. Lawn, Christchurch manager for Stewart Dawson and Co. Mr Lawn was prominent in Freemasonry, and was also a well-known member of tho Christchurch Savage Club. [Mr Lawn, who was born in Greymouth, was 51 years of age. About 20 years ago he was a member of the staff of Messrs Stewart Dawson and Co.’s Dunedin branch, and at that time was a prominent figure in musical circles in this city, being a member of s the Dunedin Male Choir and the St. Matthew’s Church Choir. Mr Lawn’s wife, who, with a daughter, survives him, was Miss Millie lies, who will be remembered as one of Dunedin’s foremost pianists some years ago. Mr S.Lawn, manager of Messrs Brown,; Ewing and Co., is a brother.[ SENATOR WILLIAM CARROLL Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SYDNEY, June 1.
