MACANDREW BAY CLUB

The first round of the knock-out competition for the Aitchison Cup was played at Macandrew Bay links on Saturday. The following won their games, and go into the second round: — J. Harrell, D. Morris, D, Simpson, J. Macdonald. J. S. Palmer, H. A. Outram, T. C. Wynne, M. G. Seagar, W. H. Brown, G. M'Queen, P. J. Drumm, L. S. Churchill, S. Botting, A. Stewart, E. W. Blomfield, B. Sullivan. Miss Gladys Jones, who will leave this week for England to be married, was the recipient of a presentation from the members of the club. _ The president (Mr J M'Pherson). in asking Miss Jones to accept a suitcase and travelling nig, referred to the valuable contribution she had made as ladies’ club captain and as a member of the committee to the progress of the club, and the good spirit that existed among the members. He extended to her the good wishes of her clubmates for her future happiness.
