MOVEMENTS. Coastal. Parora sailed on Saturday for Tim ant, Lyttelton, Wellington, New Plymouth, and Port Waikato. Awarua, the Bluff Harbour Board’s tug. arrived at Port Chalmers for overhaul at 6.10 p.m. yesterday. Gale is due to-morrow to load for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Wanganui. Breeze is expected on Friday from Lyttelton to load out for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Picton, and Wanganui. Waipiata arrived yesterday from Bluff, and was expected to sail lato this afternoon for Wellington and Auckland via Timaru and Lyttelton. Kaimai, from Westport, is due tomorrow. After discharging a quantity of coal the vessel will sail on Wednesday for Oamaru. Kartigi left Auckland on Friday for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She is due at Lyttelton to-morrow, and is expected at Dunedin on Thursday. The vessel will sail on Saturday for Oamaru, Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington. and Auckland. Holmglen is duo on Wednesday to load and sail for Port Waikato via ports. .Overseas. Capo Horn, which arrived here on Saturday morning, was expected to sail this afternoon for Melbourne, Sydney, Fiji, Apia, Vancouver, and San Francisco. Kaikorai sailed from Port Chalmers on Saturday afternoon for Bluff and Westport to load for Sydney. Canadian Constructor, which berthed at the Victoria wharf on Saturday morning, was expected tb sail late this afternoon for northern ports to complete. Waitaki is to leave Melbourne on for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Wellington. The vessel is due here on June 9. Karctu was expected to leave Sydney to-day for Bluff and Dunedin. She is due here on Sunday, June 7. Wairangi arrived at Port Chalmers this morning from Southampton via northern ports. She will sail to-morrow afternoon for Lyttelton and Wellington to complete, and will sail finally from the latter port on June 13 for Southampton and London via Cape Horn and Las Palmas. Melbourne Marti is duo at Dunedin on Wednesday from Yokohama via Melbourne. After discharging the usual Japanese assorted cargo the vessel will load and sail for northern ports to complete. AUSTRALIA-NEW ZEALAND. Waitaki is to leave Melbourne on Wednesday for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Wellington. She is duo at Dunedin on June 9. Omana is expected to load at Edithhurg to-morrow and Adelaide on Thursday for Auckland, Portland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She is due at Auckland on June 13. Karetu was expected to leave Sydney to-day for Bluff, Dunedin, Timaru, and Lyttelton. She is due here on Juno 7. Kaikorai sailed from Port Chalmers on Saturday for Bluff to load for Sydney. The vessel will load Australian cargo at Sydney and Newcastle for Wellington. _ Monowai is due to leave Sydney on June 5 for Auckland and Wellington. She is expected at Auckland on June 8 and Wellington June 11 to load and sail for Sydney. CANADIAN TRADE. The announcement was made on Saturday tiiat the agency for the ships to carry on the Canada-Australia-New Zealand trade will be in the hands of the New Zealand Shipping Company, the Federal Steam Navigation Company, and the Port Line. The first two ships —the City of Delhi, which is on route from Montreal to Australia and South Island ports, and the City of Batavia, which is cn route from Montreal to North Island ports and Australia—are to the agency of the Federal Company. KAIMIRO REPLACES KALINGO. The Union Company’s Kaimiro is to load at Newcastle about June 16 for Auckland, Napier, Gisborne, and Greymouth, in place of the Kalingo, which was damaged while entering Grcymouth recently, SALVAGE OF L’ATLANTIQUE, A sum of 2.000,000 francs (£27.027) has been awarded to the salvage linns responsible for towing into port the French liner L’Atlautique. The award was made by Maitre Leopold Dor and Maitro de Grandmaison, who were ap- | pointed arbitrators by the Sud-Atlan-tique Company and the salvage firms. The money is to be paid from the 4-,-250,000 francs realised by the sale of the hulk, and the balance will belong to the Sud-Atlantiqne Company. Two of the firms concerned are French, one German, and one Dutch.
