THE DRIVING SEAT
It is said that motorists are prone to lumbago; some medical men treat their patents for this, but all to no effect. Thus said Air Kennard. the well-known bone-setter, at a luncheon given in London to the Press at the" launching of a cushion designed to make the driving position easier. Mr Kennard related that he had treated many so-called Jumbagoists in his own way—by recommending them to alter the -seating, of their cars. It had always proved successful. He had recommended a cushion to give support at the, hollow of the back and thus relieve muscular strain created not only by the poor design of the squab, but also in many instances by the lack of support under the thighs. Incorrect seating overloads one group of muscles and incorrect seat design has been traced as the cause also of digestive troubles found amongst motorists who use their cars habitually.
