MISS A. K. ELLIOT, Who has been appointed librarian at Timaru. Miss Elliot was educated at the North-east Valley School, and later at Girton College and the Normal Secondary School, from which she matrieulated in 1917, and later did work to the B.A. degree in English. In 1918 she was appointed to the Dunedin Public Library, where she has remained ever since. For a number of years she has been first assistant to the reference librarian, and has been solely responsible for the school library department serving 18 city schools.
