BOYS' CRICKET

A committee meeting of the above association was held on Monday in the Y.M.C.A. rooms, there being present Messrs Beal (chair), O’Shea, Barth, Rowland, Malcolm, Torrance, Briggs, and the secretary. In connection with the representative matches the selectors recommended that Mr W. Strang’s trophy be awarded to A. Rennie (Carisbrook Club) and Mr L. Cameron’s trophy to I. Buckley (Otago Boys’ High School). The draft of the annual report was approved, and it was decided to hold the annual meeting on Monday week. The competition were announced, these being Christian Brothers’ High School No. 1 team, which will hold the Hudson Shield, and the Otago Boys’ High School XII. team will hold the Rotary Shield. The winners of the B sections of the competitions were: Senior, Carisbrook; junior. Grange.
