SILVER WEDDING

On Saturday last Mr and Mrs G. Scott, of Cannington road, celebrated the twenty-fifth anniversary of their wedding day, and as they are at present holiday-making at Northcourt, Hampden, the celebrations took place there. From early morning congratulatory telegrams arrived, and the wedding cake, made by Mrs Stevenson, was appropriately decorated with silver ornaments, surmounted by a silver bell. Alight with its 25 candles it made a very effective centrepiece for an artistically-decorated table. Mr Stevenson, in an- appropriate _ speech, eulogised the happy couple, voicing the sentiments of the assembled guests. A pleasant evening was brought to a close with the usual musical honours.
