ST. GLAIR BEACH
IMPROVEMENT WORK PROPOSED Improvements to the amenities of St. Clair Beach are proposed by the Works Committee of the City Council. The committee reports that authority has been given for the construction of a too wall 12in in height along the bank from the end of the existing stone wall to opposite the St. Clair baths, and also a stone-pitched channel 12in wide along the whole of this frontage. The estimated cost to the council of carrying' out the work, utilising relief labour, is £IOO, and the Amenities Society lias agreed to contribute the sum of £25 towards tho coat. It is hoped that, with further assistance promised by the Amenities Society, a rock garden may be laid out on the bank behind this wall, this aspect of the matter being one for the reserves department.
