Frank Tarrant, expressing satisfaction that the Indian Board of Control has accepted the Australian team, said: “I am taking a jolly strong team—evidently far stronger than India suspects. When wo get to Calcutta we will ‘ give ’em socks.’ I will give £IOO to Indian charity if the Calcutta team beats mine.”
