A debate was held in the Trades Hall after church hours last evening on the subject ‘ That the Douglas Social Credit System Was tbe Best Way of Solving the Unemployment Problem.’ The affirmative was taken by Mr Gaffney and the negative by Mr M'Comish, and much interesting matter relative to the subject under discussion was brought forward by both speakers, and also by several members of the audience. The vote of the audience decided in favour of the affirmative by a slight margin. Mr B, O’Donnell was in the chair.
