UNIVERSITY A v. H.S, OLD BOYS. School attacked , from the initial bully, but Wadbam cleared to Hubbard, who sent across Held to Walton, whose centre *went right through. From the resulting twenty-live, University attacked, Uickerstaffe’s Hick shot being smothered by the goalie, but Cawkwell finished off the movement with ar‘ shot. University attacked and several twenty-five’s resulted, Hercus cleared from a scramble in front of the University goal, and Walton put in a fine run down tho lino to beat his full-back, and centre to Easton, who just missed the goal. Play swung to tho other end of tho field, where Johnson went through to equalise the score. Up-and-down play followed, with both sets of backs hitting hard. From a penalty corner Cawkwell shot a fine again attacked, and from a fine movement of short passing in the circle Biekqrstaffe flicked with a shot that just missed tho top of the goal. Playing one of their best games this season, Technical Old Boys defeated High School Old Boys A by 3 to 1. Technical owed their victory to the hard hitting of the forwards, who swung the ball about in good style. Hie Purples held the advantage right through the first spell, when Grant (2) and Silver (1) scored. School forwards were unlucky on several occasions not to score. School rallied in the second spell, and kept the defence busy. However, only one goal was scored, and the game finished: Technical Old Boys 3 High School Old Boys ... 1 SECOND GRADE, H. 5.0.8. Colts 4, High Schbol 3. WOMEN'S GAMES OTAGO v. DUNEDIN. Otago attacked from the . opening bully. The forwards combining well, Miss Thomson, right wing, making some nice runs and centering well. During this spell Dunedin were depending well but their attacking movements were spoilt by Otago backs. A good movement from the right wing resulting in Miss Parker scoring. Halftime: Otago 1, Dunedin 0. The second spell commenced at a fast clip, with Otago attacking, good defensive play by Miss Bush and Mrs Beck kept the score down. The Otago backs were placing the ball nicely, but overkeenness by the forwards spoilt some promising movements. Final score: Otago 1, Dunedin 0. Mr Moore was referee. KINGS v. MOMONA, Kings opened the game with a good forward rush, and their centre-forward scored with a good shot. Moraona retaliated, and as the result of a bad hit scored. Miss Palmer (Momona) was a tower of strength to her side. Miss Robinson (Kings) put her side in the lead with a good goal. Momona’s forwards were not combining too well, but just on half-time they equalised. The second spell was very even, and the game ended in a draw, 2 all. SECOND GRADE.
