In the latter case they must be brief. Mrs Holden Mirams has returned from a visit to Invercargill. Miss Jesse Ncvill returned to St. Clair last Monday from Central Otago. Mis.s Pollardi Oamaru, is spending the week-end as the guest of Mrs i. W. Cowie, Musselburgh. Mr and Mrs F. C. Taylor, of Highgate, lloslyn, left on Thursday morning on a trip to Suva. Dr and Mrs A. S. Moody returned to New Zealand by the Tamaroa, and motored homo yesterday from Christchurch. , Miss Ella Manning, of Auckland, who has been the guest of her sister, Mrs A. M'Clue, St. Clair, returned north on Wednesday morning. Mr and Mrs E. C. Carter, accompanied by Miss Mitchell and Miss Fairfax Cholmeley, left Christchurch on Wednesday evening for Wellington. Mr and Mrs W T . F. Edmond, accompanied by the latter’s niece, Mrs W. L. Cunningham, of Castle Downs Station, Southland, will leave on Wednesday next for Auckland, to join the Monterey on a holiday visit to Honolulu, where they intend to spend about three weeks.
