Then dig around the roots and lift carefully, destroying as few roots as possible. Then plant into new quarters, pressing the soil around the roots firmly, “ W.G.T.”—Chimney soot is a very valuable manure for vegetables or flowers and especially for lawns. Keep it in a dry store or shed until the end of August, then _ work it into the surface of the soil just prior to the sowing or planting of crops.
