TERRIBLE LOSS OF LIFE IN CHINA MILES OF COUNTRY INUNDATED * Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright SHANGHAI, July 18. (Received July 19, at 11 a.m.) It is estimated that 2,000 square miles of Shantung province are inundated by flood waters. Fourteen thousand bodies have been recovered in two cities. In the Hupeh province the death roll is at least 50,000. The Yellow River floods are believed to have drowned 30,000.
