TO-MORROW’S FOOTBALL
RUGBY Two interesting matches will be played at Carisbrook. The game between University A and Pirates at 3 is causing a good deal of interest, as Pirates have been showing good form of late, and should they beat University and Southern win its match against Zingari-llichmond the premiership would go to Southern. .University will have the assistance of Fookes > in the game to-morrow. As a curtain-raiser Southern will meet Zingari-Rifchmond at 1 30. This should also provide a good display. At the Caledonian Ground Union will meet Kaikorai, at Tahuna Park Dunedin will meet Alhambra, and at Mosgiel Taieri will play University B. Official guides will be on sale. SOCCER The principal attraction in, the Fletcher Cup series of matches will bo the meeting of Mosgiel and High School Old Boys at Logan Park. Mosgiel is only one point behind the leaders (Maori Hill) on the league table, and has been showing very consistent form in recent games. High School has displayed a greatly improved standard since the start of the second round, its most recent success being in sharing the points with Maori Hill. Both teams are well matched and comprise several young players with football ability. A win to Mosgiel will place this team in the position of contesting the premiership with Maori Hill. Tho present leaders in tho competition, Maori Hill, will meet Seacliff on the > latter’s gtound, the other games being Northern v. Roslyn-Wakari at Prospect Park and Mornington v. Technical at Mornington.
