HOUSES DESTROYED EARTHQUAKE IN FORMOSA Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, July 17. (Received July 18, at 12.15 p.m.) The Tokio correspondent of ‘ The Times ’ states: An earthquake in the Schinchiku province, Formosa, after midnight killed 47 people and injured 155. Many sleepers at Byoritsu were killed through falling houses, of which 153 were destroyed. Seismologists believe that the shock was the aftermath of the April earthquake.—London ‘ Times 1 Cable.
