WEATHER FORECAST
CHANGEABLE AND SQUALLY The following weather forecast was issued at noon by the Meteorological Office,_ Wellington, covering the southern district—Dunedin, Port Chalmenit Tapanui, Winton, Invercargill, Riverton : A moderate westerly depression it crossing the Dominion, while pressure is high to the east, and also over the North Tasman Sea. Forecast: Moderate to strong westerly winds, of gal* force at places, backing at times to south-westerly. Weather changeable and squally, with scattered rain. Seat rather rough. ANOTHER FINE, MILD DAY. Like yesterday, to-day was overcast though mild, and there was a light breeze from the south, making it the seventh fine day in succession that has now favoured Dunedin. Overnight there was no frost, and the noon temperature was 61.2 deg, with a minimum recording for • the morning of 47deg, Gradually the barometer was creeping upward, and at midday it was still rising at 29.7 in. Yesterday’s temperatures foi 24 hours were a maximum of 53.8 deg and a minimum of 46.2 deg.
