WOODHAUGH GARDENS.

TO THE EDITOR. Sirl have been through the Woodhaugh Gardens several times during the last two weeks, and have taken notice of a gang of men destroying the native bush, cutting down all the native trees, and leaving only a few disfigured fnschial Ajl the young broadleafs 3ft or 4ft high, have disappeared, and the destruction still goes on. There does not appear to be anybody in charge of the men. If they keep on as they are doing at present we shall soon not have a native tree near Dunedin.—l am, etc., July 18. Black Pine.
