ST. PATRICK'S LAWN TENNIS CLUB

The official opening of the above club was held last Saturday afternoon, there being an attendance of over sixty members and friends. Tho President (Mr J. Miller) welcomed members and friends, and thanked them for the support they had given the club in the past. He also extended a cordial welcome to Messrs Pearce and Rawlinson, of the association executive, and concluded by declaring the season officially opened. Mr Pearce then expressed the good wishes of tho association to the club for tho coming season, and said that the keenness of members and friends present that day augured well for the club's success in the future. An exhibition double was then played by (1. A. Pearce, Rawlinson. Swallow, and Pollock. Rater in the afternoon a visit was paid by the official party of the executive, consisting of (he president (Mr Jensen). Messrs (Irlmsdale. Falconer, who added their best wishes for a successful season.
