UPROARIOUS MUSICAL COMEDY

1 .HAPPY ' FOR REGENT An outstanding comedy with Stanley Lupino, Laddie Cliff, and Will Fyffe in the principal parts, ‘ Happy ’ is the title of the picture which begins tomorrow at the Regent. Its leading characters are Frank and George, two impecunious Bohemians, one a musical composer, and the other air inventor. Romance breaks in on their lives. Frank sets his heart on a wealthy American girl, Lilian, while George's goes out to Pauline, the daughter of Dupont, the cabaret proprietor for whom the two work. Frank complicates his romance by pretending to be the owner of a luxurious home in which his orchestra is hired to play at a reception. After much music, trouble, and alcohol the couples ’ are made happy. One of the best characters in the film is Max Bnnnmclberg, by Jimmy Goddeu, a friend of Frank and George. Among his numerous avocations Max goes in for goose fanning. Ho begins with two, and anticipates vast wealth, and after exhausting every known device to make his stock produce eggs he discovers they are both ganders. Stanley Lupino is Frank, an airy and debonair scamp, and a fluent and highly efficient prevaricator. Of the women, Renee Gadd makes a very charming Pauline, but neither she nor Dorothy Hyson as Lilian has very much to do except to look pu’etty.
