MISS HOLM WINS THE FINAL Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, May 17. (Received May 18, at 9.15 a.m.) In the women’s golf final Miss Holm defeated Miss Barton (1 and 5. Miss Barton was one up at the end of the morning round, but Miss Holm deserved her success. She was once three down, but retained an almost perfect style and fought to overwhelm one of the most gallant _little girls in one of the most interesting championships since the war. Miss Holm is the first Scot to win the championship since Miss Campbell won in 1911.
[Miss Holm beat Miss Oliver Kay in tho first round. Miss Barton is a seven teen-year-old Londoner.]
